Changing the Tires of Our Innova

August 31, 2015 / Filed Under: DIY, Lifestyle, Shopping

Our Ianne A. has new  set of shoes. Yes we named our car Ianne A. courtesy of my daughter Purple. Her reason is that our car is part of our family and therefore deserves to have a name. Just recently we were in the market for getting new tires for our car who is already 5 years old and needs to be replace all of four stock tires.

As a newbie in buying tires, I did not know where to go and how to purchase them. Plus there was the budget factor. We just finished paying for the monthly check up of our car from the casa so we were on a tight budget.

Here’s what I did. First, I looked around the web. I saw that there are a lot of good deals from different web sites offering new tires and second hand rims with second hand tires. One of the great deals for new tires that I found on the web was in S&R. S&R has a very competitive price for all of the brands plus offers free mounting and free wheels balancing plus a lot more free service.

Did I mention that my budget was really tight, as in real tight. My budget took me to Blumentritt, Manila where there are a lot of tire shops and all other shops, from second hand everything, to mag wheels. My family accompanied me during my canvassing. I went to a lot of shops hoping to get the best value for my money. My daughter brought her guitar  which she used to entertain my wife and my sister in law.

It took me sometime to find the right shop and tire because not all of the shops carry all of the tire brands and size. We ended up buying Delium tires which is a Indonesian brand, it is not a well known brand but I find it is suitable for our needs and also fits our budget. The shop we purchased our tires from also offer free mounting. For balancing we went to another shop and paid P800 pesos for balancing and aligning.
