It just hit me today.
I’ve officially resigned from my previous BPO job at Cognizant — the place I got used to, the people I worked with, the routine I built for almost two years. And now, here I am, starting fresh at a new BPO company. It’s farther from home, but it offers a higher pay — and that changes everything.
The Decision
Resigning wasn’t easy.
I spent a lot of time thinking about it. Cognizant gave me stability, experience, and memories I’ll always carry. But as a father, decisions aren’t just about comfort anymore — they’re about what’s best for the family.
When the opportunity came — higher salary, better benefits — I knew I had to consider it seriously. Not just for me, but for my wife, my kids, our future.
The Transition
Today was the day it sank in.
The commute’s longer. The environment is new.
No familiar faces yet, no inside jokes, no usual desk. But as I sat through my first few hours of training, something inside me whispered:
“This is the right move.”
Because while the distance grew, so did the possibilities.
The Feeling
I’m not gonna lie — I felt a little sad.
Maybe even guilty for leaving something I once called home.
But underneath the sadness, there’s peace… and even a little excitement.
Because now, I’m in a place where my work will support my family even better — where the effort I give translates to something more meaningful back at home.
For My Family
Everything I do is for them.
Every late night shift, every long commute, every learning curve at a new job — it’s for my kids to have a better future and for my wife to feel secure.
This is what adulting looks like.
This is what being a dad sometimes requires — not just staying where it’s comfortable, but choosing what’s right.
Final Thoughts
To those going through a similar transition:
Yes, it’s scary. Yes, it’s sad to leave a familiar place.
But if your reason is rooted in love, especially for your family, then trust me — you’ll find peace in the decision.
New beginnings can be intimidating.
But they can also be powerful.
And today, I remind myself: I didn’t just leave a job… I stepped toward something better. 💪
