Carnival: The Traveling Joy

January 30, 2018 / Filed Under: Daddy Moments

And I am back, after a long hiatus from blogging. I can definitely say I miss it. I miss writing. It gives me some sense of lightness within me like a huge amount of weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

So let me tell you something about my holiday 2017. Since there are a lot of reminiscing going on around the net specially Facebook, let me add this one to the trend. Do you remember going to your local carnival (or perya)? The one that travels from town to town specially on fiestas, Christmas, or New year. We had one near our house and boy was my daughter Purple excited to go. She was asking me every day. So one day I cleared up my schedule and we went as a family including the little one, Periwinkle. It was Periwinkle’s first time to go to a place like this. At first she was shy for there were a lot of people around but after a few minutes she was running around everywhere.

Purple lead the way and her sister followed close behind. We had a great time at the carnival. It is a place that I enjoyed going to when I was young and I am so thankful to God that I am here with my family to experience the same joy my children are feeling.

This is one thing that had endured through the years. I hope that these carnivals that travel from town to town continue on to bring joy to children of future generations to come.

Look at how happy they are. No amount of money can pay for that.
